So far I have noticed that the minors guilds were released in pairs similar to the pairings from union in chains, may be just a fluke, but we saw morticians then hunters, followed by fish followed by butchers, I could be wrong but I would bet that the next will be the Alch minor guild.

I honestly expected either the masons or brewers to come next, but the reveal window seems to be one at a steamcon, then another in 3 months, then another at a steamcon, then another in 3 months.

Also, kinda ironic that, despite miners being one of the most commonly speculated minor guilds, NO ONE suggested engineers for them, with smiths and masons being the more popular suggestions.

edit: I hadn't skimmed through the hour long video above before I posted this. Entertainer's guild eh? That seems rather fitting. All of them based off mascots? This should make for an interesting team. I always liked the playstyle pitch for brewers, tanks and stuns have always been a favorite of mine, especially when combined with auras and buffing, but I wasn't interested in their theme as a teetotaler. I am definitely keeping an eye on these guys.

Also, my hypothesis seems to have been wrong. That was fast.

I like them as a compliment to the Engineers, gives them a nice worldbuilding component and helps broaden the scope of the Engineer's ambitions. Especially with so many being disabled due to their work. You can almost fill in a bit of Ballista's motivation by imagining the grueling work they do and the tolls it takes on their bodies.

Stilll, what an unfortunate name for their captain, I wonder if SF would consider renaming. The dick jokes are already getting old.

Re: entertainers guild

Sherwin mentioned their players possibly being based off the 'heroes' and 'villains' of season 1. He also joked about maybe having Hooper, who is always confused with Tapper, being a crossover model and cosplaying as Tapper lol.

It makes sense. During the seminar of the "build a player" they were asked to name any captain, EXCEPT Tapper and Honor, for the base of the build. So it could be that it's because they've already got a plan for Tapper.

Well I probably misinterpreted what they had said, I just skimmed through it and won't have the time to re-watch it for a bit, but I thought they said that the players would be based off of the mascots while the captain would be a narrator. The character created looks like someone dressed as dirge, if not, who was the character that was created?

That’s Kid Blackheart. Based obviously on Blackheart.

My first thought was to paint him as Samuel L. Jackson.

In the design a character thing someone brought up designing the kid blackhart to function as or similar to a mascot but we moved past it and it didn’t seem like the direction that they ended up going by the end.  Like previously mentioned the players are designed based on myths of the guild ball universe and the most mythical superstars from most teams are their captains.  Their captain was mentioned as a narrator telling a story.

With Colossus revealed as an Engineers crossover, who do you think the other player will be?

Based on their description in the blog, "The Miners are experts at using explosives that can seriously disrupt the positioning of enemies", I think Ratchet fits their playstyle the most. And I really wish it was so, given what a marvelous toolbox Ratchet is.

I though so too, but then again Ratchet doesn’t fit the slow and resilient playstyle, he is litteraly the squieshiest model on Engineers.

But yeah he would be quite amazing. Even though he is probably the Most picked Engi Model, maybe SFG wants a Model that sees a little less Playtime.

Locus is slow have pushes and kick the ball with remote control

As far with all the Information we have, I think it’s also him.

And here I thought I was old...😉

So my thought is Hoist. He's still resilient with Sturdy just not nigh invulnerable. (Now I'm going to have to paint him blue and add antennae) With true replication it makes lots of sense. Of course, it might be a bit OP with Hoist in there.

Heh - I started miniature gaming before "Rogue Trader" was released . . .

Ratchet fits fluff-wise but less so on the durability scale - would be surprised if the crossover player was a mechanica because I'm guessing Ballista will have a hand in recruiting the Miners and I'm pretty sure all the mechanica are currently controlled by Pin Vice
