In my day...!

Recommended Posts

I must be getting old. I can't follow what is going on with SF and their new releases. It used to be they released models for a guild. Simple. Now, I guess they have box sets full of models I'll never use, rookies, not to mention the minor guild hub-bub. Its getting to the point where I can't follow it all. I feel sorry for the person just coming into the game.

And oh, GET OFF MY LAWN!

..back in my day, painting miniatures was part of the hobby... now apparently it's elitist and exclusionary....

No believing others MUST DO IT is. Painting them itself is fine.

We're getting off topic but the combat matrices pre-date THACO.

Yes, I'm that old.

Back in my day White Dwarf magazine was about RPG's; not a GW owned publication about Warhammer and such.

😀

And it was a good magazine too.
And I've put Warhammer FRP 4th ed on pre order at my LGS.
Can't wait to see what they come up with this time.

OMG I'd forgotten all about those cassettes. They were... well. I remember them fondly but I suspect today they'd be awful. :D

In my day, we made our own games.

Coincidentally,  I invented Guild Ball in 1992. Unfortunately I was too busy painting a thousand Skaven so I shelved the idea.

Only a thousand? So few.................
