Tilled Earth and gliding during movement

Recommended Posts

Peck begins his activation outside of 6’’ of ploughman and spends an influence to sprint. Peck sprints towards ploughman and is then within 6’’ of ploughman. Peck encounters rough ground during his sprint while within 6’’ of ploughman, can Peck glide for free before touching rough ground even though Peck has already begun moving?

Since Tilled Earth allows friendly models to use Gliding for free within the aura and Gliding is not an action, I can't see anything that would prevent you from using it mid-movement.

Correctly answered; provided Peck is within 6" of Ploughman before he enters the Rough Ground, he can Glide during the advance to ignore the Rough Ground for free.

If Peck only got within 6" of Ploughman after being slowed by the rough ground, would gliding allow him to reclaim the 2" of reduced movement?

Gliding
An active model may spend [1] MP to move across rough-ground
without penalty for the remainder of the current turn.

Gliding only has an effect on the model for the remainder of the turn. It has no effect upon penalties suffered prior to it being used.
