Guild Ball miniatures catalogue

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I've just recently discovered Guild Ball and will be painting and collecting rather than playing. So for me that means I'd like to track down a list of all models that have been produced so far over the 3 seasons so I can have a complete range. I've looked but not found anything. Player names would be one thing, but pics would be the best. I'm primarily interested in Engineers, Fishermen and Hunters.

Thanks for any help!

Welcome!

I built a list a while back, and I think it's complete. I have had to borrow images from all over the place though for the specials...

Engineers:

Ballista, Pin Vice, Mainspring, Mother, Locus, Hoist, Velocity, veteran Velocity, Compound, Salvo, Ratchet and Colossus. All of them are standard models, available in the two team boxes.

Fishermen:

Shark, Corsair, Tentacles, Salt, Siren, veteran Siren, Angel, Kraken, Jac, Sakana, Hag and Greyscales. Two team boxes again for most of these, except a couple of specials:

Kickstarter Shark and Salute Kraken

Hunters:

Theron, Skatha, Fahad, Snow, Chaska, Hearne, veteran Hearne, Egret, Zarola, Jaecar (and his traps), Ulfr and Seenah. These are boxed a little differently, as a six model box, a four model box, and two single model blisters.

Store link to those: https://store-uk.steamforged.com/collections/hunters-guild

There's a Young Theron limited edition as well:

Thanks very much for that comprehensive answer.

I thought the season 1 teams had been completely different models from the ones in the current boxes and were OOP.

So if I buy the 2 Fisherman's boxes Changing Tide and Pirate's Return, and lurk on eBay for the other 2 that you pictured, I'll have the complete range so far? (not counting the possible PVC Indiegogo box, I mean.)

Are the Masons the exception? Cos I've found a listing on eBay for 6 metal Masons and as far as I can tell none of them are in the current Punishing March box (I won't link it here cos I'm not sure about the rules for linking to eBay).

Those Chibis look hilarious! Great paint job too!

One more noob question (I've searched here and on FB and not found an answer). If the PVC funds, are all the metals going to be discontinued? Do we know that yet?

Cheers!

Yep, those team boxes are still the current models - if you get those two sets and grab the other models on eBay or in the trading post here, you’ll have the full range.

If the plastics get funded, they’ll eventually replace the metals, but that will take a while - with shipping set for November, they’d then have to run down the metal stock and build up the plastics, so it will probably be at least 2019 before the metals are OOP.

The masons have two boxes, one is punishing March and the other is basically the kick off set (which is PVC). The original six metals (the same models as in the kick off set) seem to be off most stores (though element games has some in stock, like the old 3 model starter). Same for the brewers, they’re now split between kick off and the Sing when you’re Winning set.

It gets a little complicated in places...

The toughest ones for limited edition models are probably the Morticians or the Union, with about 6 each :D

That's exactly what I wanted to know, thanks!! As long as Steamforged keep supplying stockists like Element and Wayland with the current 6-player metal boxes I can take it slow and steady.

I've taken a good look at the PVC and I'm not convinced, personally. Mind you, if I were a regular player I'd definitely be able to see the advantages of it.

The PVC gets better with every box, it seems. I’m usually really picky but I’m happy with the blacksmiths (though the kick off set is less clean and sharply cast and doesn’t please my painting eyes). Mind you, I did work on the blacksmiths straight after painting Silence, and that model was an awful hunk of metal, so it may have skewed my opinions :D

I would agree with @Mako about the PVC. Blacksmiths > Farmers > Kick Off Start Set Brewers & Masons. The quality of PVC models seems to be steadily increasing.

Lots of demand still for kickstarter editions (and Ltd Boiler/Kraken etc.) ... would be great if they issued a few more some day in some way (available at their Manchester HQ maybe, or in tournament packs?)  Would help those who get tempted to try to collect the full set! (OK, I admit I'm missing a few, though keeping an occasional eye on e-bay).

I created a limited edition model list a while ago, and it should be up-to-date:

It doesn't contain pictures, but should make googling easier. Anything not on the list will be the models available in the SFG webstore.

That's really useful, Biff'd, thanks for keeping it updated.

A few quick questions cos I'm new to this:

How long are LE figs usually available for? I want to order the Valentines ones but will have to wait until next week. No mention of it on the blog that I can see.

Are LEs only over available through SFG directly? Or do online stockists and FLGSs get them too?

I got a Seasoned Brisket the other day but she's not in the SFG online store and she's not on this list either. Does that mean she's not LE and she is OOP?

Cheers all!

Seasoned Brisket is from when SFG released models individually.  They've dropped that with the move to 6 man boxes and I believe a new model of her will be showing up in the Order of Solthecian minor guild box when it's released down the road.

There is no defined amount of time that LE figs are available through the webstore. "A couple of weeks" is a good barometer, but no guarantee. And if they are really popular, they might sell out (but none of the "holiday themed" sculpts have ever sold out).

SFG then sometimes makes them available again through sales through the website or at conventions, like SteamCon or GenCon. Availability is never guaranteed, though, and changes over the years. Earlier exclusives, like the Kickstarter sculpts, haven't been made available for sale by SFG since Black Friday 2016 (I think).

Online retailers could order the LE models for themselves, but I don't think they are available through distributors, so therefore they wouldn't be making an immediate profit. They would only make a profit if they marked up the MSRP. For example, when he was hard to find, there was a LE Tater available at my FLGS for $30 (retailed for $12 I believe). Therefore, I have never seen an online retailer carry LE models, but they show up as second hand from other players via the normal sites.

All other sculpts for all figures should be available by SFG in new 6 man boxes, but you pointed out that SBrisket is the exception to that rule (and only exception iirc). As Redtiger7 mentioned, popular belief is that she is going to be available in the Solthecian Minor guild box.

Thanks Redtiger7 and Biff'd. Useful information. I'll try and order the Valentine's models in the next few days. Hope they do another Black Friday thing. The thought that I might one day be able to order a KS Shark gives me a warm fuzzy feeling!

I hadn't heard of the Solthecian box. I'm guessing that it'll be a PVC box like the other minor guilds. So Grace and Benediction could be the next to go plastic. I'm a painter and collector so I prefer metal. If I was a gamer I'd go for the PVC.
