Canadian National (Eastern) Championship

Recommended Posts

Here are the initial informations about the Canadian Eastern National Guild Ball Championship.

It will be held in Montréal, QC, June 2nd at l'Abyss.  7355 St-Michel, Montreal, Quebec.

The National Championship will strictly follow the rules in the Organized Play Document for a Regional Cup format that are current at the time of the event.

The Championship will be limited to 32 players. Tickets will be $25.00 and available for purchase on the hosting store website soon, and includes lunch for the day.  We are looking at hotel blocks right now.

More information to follow soon.

The pre-registrations are now open on l'Abyss webstore:
Remember that as this event is a National Championship, pre-registering is important. The winner of the event gets an entry to Steamcon UK and an invitation for the World Championship, but if we reach at least 30 paid pre-registrations, the winner also gets the flight and hotel paid for by Steamforged Games.

And in case anyone might be interested in attending but isn't on FB, we've already received confirmation there'd be some nice loot to be offered at the event...

In addition to the usual Tournament fare (National trophy, dice, Ltd Mist, etc) the organizers have promised a custom ball token for all attendees, as well as a few more door prizes offered by various sponsors:

  • The hosting venue is offering two Battlefoam P.A.C.K. C4 bags (see post here (FB)).
  • Hiddenforestgaming.com is offering two of their Large Terrain packs (see post here (FB)).

Thank @Tonio, @Frostmane and other Pundits for organising such an event!

Edit: That ball was sculpted (and painted?) by local pundit Tonio...

Air BNB basically. The Montreal Metro is pretty good, and the store is nearby a Metro station. There are lots of good, reasonably priced places. There are several people coming from out of town, so we can start asking if people don't have accommodation yet if you're looking for a roommate.
