Save a swift strike?

Recommended Posts

So when a character with berserk does damage it can walk away and do berserk attack later in turn. Can you do the same with the swift strike dodge? Doesn't say it has to be immediate so can I do damage, walk away, and then do my 1" dodge later in turn?

Considering the list of Passive and Active Traits, it appears you cannot.

Berserk is an active trait which means it's an action you use during your turn, whereas Swift Strike is a passive trait, meaning it can only be used when the appropriate trigger occurs.

See Henry's post, bellow

Not sure why, truth be told.

? Swift Strikes is not passive. It is definitely in the "active traits a player may choose to use when the defined requirements are satisfied" list.

Berserk uses the words "During its activation" to show that the trait may be used at any point in the model's activation (provided you've already done damage). Swift Strikes doesn't use these words, it may be performed at the point when the defined requirements are satisfied. If it isn't used when the requirements are satisfied then the option is forfeited.

Sorry to hijack, but does this mean you could do a regular attack, kill the target, then charge a new target and use both Berserk attacks on the second target?

No because same named abilities don’t stack
