      Training Ground   02/14/2018

There’s a new section in the guild ball area designed to help rookies, but it needs others to help out - why not write a post for it? Anything that’s good for people to know, whatever faction they’re starting out with!

All Mechanica

Recommended Posts

I am looking into starting a second team, I play Butchers now, and was taking a look at the Engineers.  Specifically I thought it would be interesting trying an all Mechanica team with Pin Vice, Mainspring, Colossus, Hoist, Velocity and Locus.  Has any one tried out this list?  My idea was to run as footbally as possible.

Locus just came out, so there's only so much experience using him.  A lot of people have spoken about an all Mechanica army.  It seems like it has all the necessary pieces: 2 strikers, 2 midfielders, 2 mascots and a goalie.

I've played this list 4 times so far. It has worked well for me, particularly that I don't usually play Engineers. I've found PV to be kinda broken with all her shenanigans, which makes me crack an evil toothy smile as a Brewer player. However, my first 2 games I was lucky enough to have an engineer player present that coached me a wee bit. It was a lot of fun.

The only problem I think there is with all Mechanica is it means not taking Ratchet. And he's just an incredibly useful support piece for every occasion. Long bomb and incredibly solid kick stats of 4/6" make him a great passing piece. Tooled up and blast earth mean he can provide assistance if you need a takeout. Fixer is great at saving you momentum against teams that like to lay on conditions. And Overclocked is just amazing at creating a threat where previously there wasn't one.
