    Team event in Scotland!

    Hey folks, In case you weren't aware, we are running a big Team event is Stirling, Scotland on the weekend of 9th-10th June. It will be a 4 round event and will feature some of the toughest (& some of the bravest!) WTC teams around. So far, we have teams from Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Steamforged Games, and some of the local Scots! The full details are in the link below.   2. First of all, thanks for booking for The Heroic Throw Down Team Tournament. We’re looking forward to having you all at the event and hope that you have a great day playing Guild Ball; or a second day if you plan to be with us for the Regional Cup event on the Saturday as well. You will need a team of 3 players - each player can play a different guild, or all can play the same there are no restrictions on what Guilds can be played. Once you have booked a ticket via TieBreak if you can email a Team Name and the names of all the players in your team to: theheroicplay@gmail.com I can update the event details. Amongst your team, you will need to nominate a player to fulfil each of the three roles: Striker, Midfielder and Defender. These roles will be fixed throughout the event and will determine who you play each round.     New Hunter's Project

    So I have a con coming up and I've decided to do my first diorama ever. Did a lot of research before I started. I'm hoping that by posting it here I can get some C&C as well. Hope you enjoy. Here we go! i started with bases for each member.
  4. I'm planning a team tournament for July 30th 2016. You will need a team of 3 players - each player can play a different guild, or all can play the same there are no restrictions on what Guilds can be played. Tickets can be purchased on TieBreak here Once you have booked a ticket via TieBreak if you can email a Team Name and the names of all the players in your team to: theheroicplay@gmail.com I can update the event details. Each team will nominate a Captain for the event, they will make a roll off against the opposing teams Captain. The winning team's Captain then gets to choose to either select Match-ups for the round or give each of his player's a +1 to the dice roll for deciding who gets to Kick/Recieve at the start of the game. Whichever the winning team did not pick, goes to the other team. This process takes place at the start of each round. From there the individual players will go into the first game with their selected opponent and play the round under the following conditions from the Organised Play document: ‘It's not over till it's over' 'Play to the final whistle' 'Team Tactics' 'Strength in Depth' (x=6 models) 'Hide the team sheet!' Models need to be fully painted and based as per the organised play document.   5. Who will be your new line up and why? Are you looking forward to Wrecker and Harmony or will you stick with classic Marbles and Honor. Personally I'm really excited to get my hands on them, but I'm not sure how often or not I'll use wrecker over marbles or Hammer and Vet. Harmony over the sisters.

    Brand New to Guild Ball

    Hi Folks. I went to Salute recently and had a demo of guild ball. It didn't go well, my son did me over by taking out 2 of my team and then scoring a goal whilst I desperately ran away! I decided that the Fishermen weren't for me and thought I'd give the Alchemists a try. I'm playing a friend in a couple of weeks time in my second game of guild ball and I have a problem. He has the mortician's guild and has done his research on here and even gone and bought some reinforcements too. Cheeky blighter... I've got the following models to play with.. Midas, Calculus, Venin, Compound, Mercury, Katalyst, Vitriol and Flask. I was thinking of running something like - Midas, Mercury, Catalyst, Vitriol and Flask. I don't know whether to take Compound, Katalyst or Venin with this team. I'm thinking Katalyst would help with his intensify, but then I like the defence of Venin and compound looks cool (which goes a long way in my book) Would any experienced Alchemists mind giving me some advice as to which might synergise better and things to watch out for in my Second game?   7. A question came up that I couldn't answer. What rule stops someone from playing two mascots on a team? Captain, mascot, mascot, player, player, player. Or even Captain, mascot, captain, player, player, player. Page 10 of season 2 actually says captain, mascot, and fill out the roster with other models that play for the same guild as the captain. Page 7 of the Organized play document uses the term eligible model. I suppose since type isn't limited by either the rule book our OP document on how you fill out the team you could but I'm still of the firm opinion that that was not the intent.

    Starting 6

    Hey guys, I'm looking at starting the Union as my Guildball team - got a few ideas for paint schemes and have an irresistible lure to some of the models - particularly the newly released Veteran Rage! Anyways, I'm looking for some advice for my starting 6. I'm thinking... Blackheart, Gutter, Coin, Rage, Mist, Fangtooth Fangtooth and Rage will buddy up, as will Blackheart and Gutter for some hefty damage output. Planning on using Blackhearts Legendary play first thing to push everyone 2" up the field in order to engage early. Coin will be keeping between my two killy teams in order to pass out Bag of Coffers as required, and Mist will be there for some ball handling. Any advice or thoughts? Also, I want to make some custom goal markers for my team, what have you guys done in this respect? Cheers!
