  1. In season 4, the wording on Mother's Spiderlings trait has changed: Spiderlings While within 1" of one or more friendly nest markers, enemy models suffer the crowding out penalty. Reading from page 18 21 of the season 4 rulebook: Crowding Out When making an attack, the active model suffers –1 TAC for each enemy model, other than the target enemy model, engaging the active model. Crowding Out When making a character play, the active model suffers –1 dice pool for each enemy model, other than the target enemy model, engaging the active model. Whenever a model makes an attack or character play, it suffers the crowding out penalty to it's die pool, 1 die per engaging enemy model. Since it is already suffering this penalty, the Spiderlings trait seems redundant. How should this trait be interpreted? Do enemy models within 1" of a nest marker suffer the crowding out penalty as if they were in mother's melee zone? If so, does it stack with the crowding out penalty imposed by Mother's actual melee zone? Does each nest marker count as an enemy model for purpose of crowding out penalties? Do all nest markers count as a single enemy model? Do nest markers not count as models for the purpose of crowding out but instead cause a model that would normally not suffer the crowding out penalty via the Rowdy trait to suffer that penalty?
  2. Hey there. This question came up in our game, it basically decided the match. Does Mother (or in this case Hoist) need line of sight to the nest marker in order to burrow? The card says "Choose" a nest marker, instead of other cards saying "target," which made me guess that one didn't need line of sight. After all the idea is one is going under ground and popping up next to the nest marker. Although its easy to see why you would need line of sight like most other character plays. I'll feel pretty bad if indeed you do need LOS.
