  1. Hello guys, I'm new player and I would like to make my own Morticians goal. I have no idea where to start. It would be nice, if you can give me advice, about what materials/tools/paint should I use. I would like to make me a coffin (something like on the picture attached, sorry for stealing to whoever did that great goal). I've been googling, but I'm little bit confused. Thanks for any advice! PS.: (I couldn't find any thread like this, so hopefully it will not be deleted, thank you.)
  2. It was the very first game of Guild Ball on the Polish National Stadium. It was already described by my opponent in the respective thread. The stakes were high and I lost the game miserably. My Velocity however was the first Guild Ball player ever to score a goal on the Stadium, which is a title that can never be lost. Morticians scored twice and killed two of my own players. I only scored a single goal and took out one enemy player.
  3. Week 5 of our Kick About escalation league Game 2 This time I went against our previously mentioned Fish player - who went for the extreme in the league and picked up a Butcher starter six. I was lucky enough to pick up 9 agenda point worth of cards, so the game was on! Scalpel kicked off, but the Butcher lineup was excellent, so no funny first turn play. I lured instead the Defstanced Boiler in, than hit him with both Scalpel and the puppet. I even had a momentum to run to the side With Scalpel, where oBrisket was close to the sideline. On the first turn I had the 6+ momentum and the plus 4 momentum agendas. (4 agenda points) I started the turn with a Scalpel legendary, which pulled Brisket in to b2b, Boiler right next to Dirge and out of Cosset melee. With a low dice I missed the 3rd column 4 times (7 dice on 4/0), so pushing Brisket OFF the pitch become impossible. Ox came in and deleted Cosset and the Puppet too. On my left vetGraves and Bonesaw faced with Shank and Boar. Made a KD on Shank, so 1 more agenda point for condition. A few rounds and Morti players death later I was able to push the KD Boar off the table from 7+ inches. VetGraves rolled that 2s like a boss. (2 agenda points) And I finally get the ball! I positioned Scalpel to snapshot position - as she was the only target who could stand a chance against the Master Butcher to stay there. Bonesaw had to pull of a football dervish action for getting into range and naturally missed the first attempt. With a four inch dodge and a run he would be in range to pass to Scalpel... but just not. At this point my opponent decided to give up to try the wrap agenda and finished off Brainpan for the win. A lovely game of agendas for Hemlock. Keep up the good work fellow Morts, I need that miniature to happen!
  4. third game in the local escalation league morts vs engineers. I was able to pull off a turn one touchdown using bonesaw after my opponent kicked the ball off the board thus letting me gain momentum form the passes. after that he was able to recover the ball with his captain but unable to really get out of the forest and score as I sent scaple their to put on the pressure all the while taking out mother for an extra point. my opponent conceded as he didn't feel he could win the match and had some time constraints but it was a fun match and im so glad I was able to get the football dervish 1t goal off on some one new.
  5. Blacksmiths helping the Morticians

So Paul travelled all the way from Dudley to play me vs my Blacksmiths. I've decided the Blacksmiths have been employed by the Morts to help wrestle control of Hemlocke from the Hunter through her affiliation with the Brewers. A great game using some proxies of Alloy and Hearth who are immense! The Brewers got the ball after a Stave barrel-lob caused Ferrite to lose it but Iron soon battered Esters to take the ball back and take a 2 dice tap in which he scored. He sat there later for a second tap-in snapshot after a pass from Ferrite to make the game 8-0. The Brewers suffered under the armour of the Blacksmiths and Esters fell to combined hits from Iron (getting that sweet 7mom dmg hit) and Furnace to make it 10-0. Finally Iron saw Greede exposed and careered into him and spiked 4 hits to do 5mom dmg (tooled up) and then win the game on the next hit 12-0. Great opponent and the Blacksmiths grabbed hold of Hemlocke for the Morts.
  6. Scalpel's Morticians face the venerable Blacksmiths for a swift victory (12 - 4) to advance the Engineers new signing. Bonesaw dances across the Pitch at the beginning of the game shoving the Blacksmiths players out of his way to Score a Goal. Scalpel takes out Furnace, skips passed Ferrite to pull In Cinder to grab the ball for a Tap In Goal and soon afterwards Graves get her the ball back for her to finish the Game.
  7. the sky is high

Week 5 of our Kick About escalation league Game 1 This time I went against the guy who currently leading the race - but only with 3 points before me. Unfortunately he is the third best player in our meta, switched to Corsair for the league, and his previous team was Morticians, whom I picked up for the league. So I will not surprise him. Plus this is only my second game against Corsair as our top fish player is a Shark only boy. Played it on Monday, so the details are a bit blurry, and this is the week where agenda points starting to be boring. There are plenty cards in our hand and more or less we learned how to approach them. Also we play more for the cards, than an actual game of guilball. Anyway, I kicked with Scalpel and quickly retrieved the ball. Went into Sakana, who where positioned for this purpose I guess, but feeding Corsair and Co. looked fine as I had no intention to win. At the end of the turn his team was around a Barrier in the middle including Averisse too. The match highlight was, when I applied Snared on him and in two turns Scalpel pushed him off the pitch - on my backline. I was able to get all my 7 agenda points, and I went for a finish, as my opponent had 2 - needless to say a much welcomed result, but Silence pass to Scalpel missed her badly, so it ended up in Corsair, who made a snapshot screamer under legendary with the Hag. 4 points gain on his side. Both agenda and victory point wise. Then he started the next round and picked up the ball, made a kick into open, get the scatter, which was his last agenda. I had only a few minutes left on my clock, so I called it a game. It ended 7-7 agenda points on each side. He still got the lead!
  8. Brewers brought the newly recruited lucky off the bench, but luck wasn't enough this evening! Line up: Brewers: esters, quaff, lucky, stave, spigot, hooper. Morticians: obulus, dirge, graves, casket, silence, ghast Final score: 12-2
  9. Obolus negotiated for a new load of weapons with the Blacksmiths. The Guild sent 6 from all over the empire to fullfil the order. But the Engineers guild wasn't pleased about this and disputed the contract. Obulus send the Blacksmiths to solved it with a game of Guild Ball. Ferrite was very eager to test their newest weapon advancements on the pitch (=Captain). I used all the players from my new box vs. Ballista, Mainspring, Ratchet, Hoist, oVelocity and Colossus. The Blacksmiths opened the match with a kick from Cinder, far on the left side. The bug had to grab it, but doesn't get a good shot back to their lines. So it scattered on the goalline. After some activations, Hoist grabed the ball and passed it to Ballista, who dodged forward. That was the moment where Cinder could shine. She walked closer to Ballista, aimed well with her crossbow, hit that ball and pulled it to herself. All hail the new weapons! Iron got the ball after some passes but was to slow to make a goal of it directly (had been activated before). The Engineered had a lead in momentum and startet into the new round. Colossus tried everything he can, but only managed to tackle the ball from Iron with a huge effort (4 INF) and can't get the ball passed back to the other Enigneers. So it was now on the side of the Blacksmith's to get the ball from Colossus, that also wasn't easy. But they managed it by Anvil and Sledge to get the ball on Iron, who charged Ratchet on the other side, knocked him down and shot the first goal. But the Engineers doesn't grab the ball instantly so Cinder could kill the ball and a new one had been kicked in from the goal line of the Blacksmith's. Ferrite got the ball and managed to disarm Ballista and Hoist and shot the second goal to 8-0. Handicaped by Ferrite, both didn't managed to harm her badly. During round 3 Hoist got disarmed and had the ball and didn't managed to score a goal (no Momentum). So Furnace tackled it from him and passed it to Cinder, who shot the goal to 12-0. Obulus was very pleased about the result and the demonstration of the new weapons. The engineers were left upset by the new advancements.
  10. We had our monthly tournament, and I was dedicated to make all my games for Hemlock! http://www.longshanks.org/events/?event=447 My turn one opponent was a long time - and excellent - gamer, but he is even greener in this game as myself, and this was his second game with his new team, the Hunters! As the TO named the event accordingly, we just realised, both of our daughters were vaccinated this week, so some sleep deprivation kicked in right away... He kicked off with Hearne to prepare a first turn beating on me, but I was able to pick up the ball fast, and score immediately with Scalpel, Second winding and Knee Slider to back to safety. Hearne reached Graves and started a brawl, but even with the help of Jaecar and a great killing of influence on Cosset, Graves and Minx were able to hold the line. The captains exchanged some hits too... and this game went to time on his side, when I finally finished off Hearne. It was a great game, although Hunters are not an easy team to learn.
  11. I got paired against @Edek's Morticians. Morts: Obulus, Ghast, dr Graves, Brainpan and his little puppet, Silence, Dirge Cogs: Pin Vice, Velocity, Hoist, Ratchet, the Hat, Mother Edek likes to kick off with Obulus and then excercise a little trick: Obulus walks to a guy holding the ball, casts Puppet Master and makes me pass a ball to him, makes a dodge, gets some Momentum with an attack and scores. To prevent this I decided to pick the ball with Mother and place it safely on the ground behind my lines. I sealt some damage to Obulus with Ratchet and Hoist tossing grenades, and when the time came, Pin Vice picked the ball, passed it to Velocity and cast Controller. Velocity used her free dodge (thanks, Harry) and sprinted for a goal. Obulus got the ball back after goal kick and went for a goal in return. He earned 4 points and a vengeance token, but also stole all my momentum. I kicked the ball to some remote location, so Obulus wouldn't pick it up and score again. Obulus indeed started turn 2, but decided to kill Velocity. It didn't go well, the dice clearly failed him. Harry tossed a Molotov on Obulus and set him on fire. Silence forced Velocity to activate last. Mother got the ball and placed it next to Ratchet. Graves joined the Velocity-centered scrum. Ratchet passed to Pin Vice, who got a free dodge. After some more trouble, I managed to score another goal with Pin Vice, Velocity stayed alive and I won the Momentum race. Pin Vice started turn 3. She just walked to Brainpan, tackled him, dodged away and scored another goal. I was in the first spot already and got paired against Fish in finals. The problem is, I had never played agains Fish before.
  12. And without any change in the team, even if Locus has been taken out 3 times, Ballista made a killing spree with his favourite weapon 13 - 8
  13. Even if the presence of Colossus on the table was Heroic, quite all the big moves have been done by Locus for his first Match ! Obulus left the field carried by Rage who was not here to lose... 12 - 2
  14. Pics of the game - https://imgur.com/a/mToDM New deploy rules, forgot to play with GICs This was a game played against my roommate who was trying out Smoke for the first time. It was a pretty long game, but the Mortician's took the win. Turn 1 - Mist kicked off, running away from Vet Kat and kicking near the line between Ghast and Casket. Harry got the ball and passed it back towards calculus, also knocked down both Ghast and Casket. Obulus puppet mastered Vet Kat and made him jog backwards into rough ground, out of charging range of everyone. Calculus gave the ball to Smoke. Ghast stood up and KD'd Harry, then did 2 attacks of damage to him. Smoke got the ball to Mercury and moved up. Casket attacked Harry, leaving him at low HP. Vet Kat moved to midfield. Mist got some momentum off Vet Kat. I was up on momentum. Score 0 - 0 Turn 2 - I started with Casket, legendary play and killed Harry. Then jogged over to Vet Kat and knocked him down. Calculus laid out poison, Ghast beat on Smoke a bit. Mist danced around and stole the ball from Mercury, took a 3 dice shot and missed. Flask got the ball and brought it up to Smoke. Vet Kat KD'd Casket and did some damage. Obulus ends the turn by pupper master Smoke and make her pass back to Mist. Had to hit a 5 cuz he was engaged, got it. Decided not to snap shot but to score on first activation. Score 4 - 0 Turn 3 - Mist dodged with the ball to get momentum from Vet Kat, got it. Took another try at goal and made it this time. Calculus got the ball after throw in. Obulus went around and took the ball immediately, dodged around Caclulus and took a 2 dice shot and missed. Vet Kat killed Obulus then. Smoke got the ball and did some teleporting to score, but she was low on HP. Mist had scored and been left at 1 HP twice, but was on fire and died at the end of this turn. Score 8 - 8 Turn 4 - Obulus came back and attack Smoke, doing 3 damage to kill her. After Smokes goal, I had the ball and passed to Mist who had come in. Was able to go 10" and shoot 8" to take one last goal for the win. Score 14 - 8
  15. A Steller showing by both teams. Hunters came to the pitch with Skatha leading the team to with Seenah, Veteren Hearne, Chaska, Jaecar, and snow bringing in a rounded and versitle showing. Morticians arrived on the pitch with Scalpel heading up their ranks. Cosset, graves, Ghast, Silence, and dirge fleshed out their team. The first round started with morticians serving the ball over to the Hunters successfully. Hunters responded by moving chaska and seenah up the board. Several morticians quickly got caught in seenahs warpath and bogged down as Skatha was able to move up the board and support. After a brutal first round seenah ripped Scalpel off the board, creating a dominance in the center of the pitch. The left side of the pitch was taken up by some light skirimishing between Hearne, Jaecar, Cosset, and Graves. Fearing for Silence, The morticians tossed fire down onto a majority of the Hunter team and retreated behind graves and cosset. This however opened up a clear path for Skatha to blitz up the pitch and score an easy goal putting Hunters ahead 7-0. The Morticians pile into Hearne hard and manage to remove him from the pitch with two rounds of beating from cosset, with aid from graves. But this allows chaska and seenah to apply a vicious amount of damage and pushing hunter dominance to 10-3 with the loss of Hearne. Morticians couldnt stave off the bleeding as Seenah comes in as mvp, spinning around off his recent mauling of graves to pile in on cosset and push through for a brilliant 13-3 Hunter Victory.
  16. Filthy Hunthers have tied our score recently. If nothing changes they will win Hemlocke. Do we let that happen? Hell no! I counted battle reports, currently we have few active players and a lot of lads that played one game. If every one posted just one more game it would make huge difference. Most active players for now (aka hall of fame): Mechmage (10), HammerTime (9), Island (8), el009 (6), KevinBryant, Bbzs, Lhel (5).
  17. Even though hard fought, morticians could not keep up through corsair's waves! Although hemlocke looks on as she sees a place with morts to make them rise up. Line up: Morticians-Obulus, dirge, graves, casket, silence, BPM. Fishermen-Corsair, salt, sakana, greyscales, kraken, Hag Final score: Fishermen 12 - morticians 4
  18. Balls gone wild!

Another League match, this time against Union! My agenda was a win without TOs, so oGraves get benched and Bonesaw come in - the first time for me. Rage kicked the ball for a first turn aggression, but I made a few (10ish) passes and only went in dodge+charge range with Brainpan. Had a miss with Dirge and with one of the Brainpan kick too (that's why he moved in), but still had 6 momentum against 2, so my first activation was an unexpected arrival and dodge to goal range with Bonesaw on Averisse. Ball went into Benediction, and here I remembered to take pictures. One activation later Scalpel went in and get the ball, dodged in to kick range and put the ball in again. This time my opponent kicked the ball far and wide, and with a 6 to 6 scatter it ended up far far away almost in a corner. He killed a few players on my side - but I secured the ball next turn with Second Wind, and no one left there to stop Scalpels another goal! Very interesting to see this kind of play, which is far from my own playstyle.
  19. I think this has got to be one of the longest games in Guild Ball history, after nearly 3hr 45mins of playing. My local Pundit graciously played against me whilst I started the long process of learning how to play the Spooks! Team Lineups: Hunters: Morticians: Skatha Obulus Zarola Dirge Fahad Ghast Ulfr Bonesaw Jaekar Graves Minx Brainpan and Memory After an epic battle that saw Ghast remove his mask and send Ulfr running off the pitch like a little girl, Obulus and Skatha both finding the goal, the Hunters whittled down the Morticians to a 12-7 win, even though Ghast sat for nearly three complete turns holding on to the ball within striking range of the goal. (in my defence was trying to get that last elusive point to win before giving him the ball guaranteeing him instant victory!) (the moment Ghast removed his mask!) (Jaekar fending off all that the Spooks could throw at him!) One of the longest games but definately one of my most memorable!
  20. what started off as a promising game for the spooks in the third week of our local escalation league with some marvelous positioning and scoring from captain scalpel turned into a quick defeat after ballista was able to surround cosset and take her out to win in one fell swoop after an impressive defensive play from scalpel where I pulled out all the stops, almost wining the game straight away but alas cosset proved to be my undoing once more. the game ended with a score of 4 to 8 engineer victory. Its not all bad tho I learned some new tech about mother and her nests, I knew there was something to it but I was never really sure what she could do until now.
  21. A League game against a 'Brewer' guy, where my only Agenda was to make 6 VPs in one activation preferably to win the game with it. I forget to take a photo at the beginning, than we have a rather quick end. He kicked off, I used the ball to position the tooled up Scalpel into Stroker - who kicked, but was Silenced right away, so had to stand last. I did some thing, what you never should if you want to win, but Esters come up short to kill Scalpel, not even with the help of Mash and I still had the ball. I killed Esters and kicked a goal in the same activation with my captain! I had my agenda, and also my little happy dance. The goal kick went to the previously abused - and therefore pulled back - Stroker. I engaged him with Dirge, Cosset charged in, but failed to kill and Tacle from the charge and one inf. The ball ended up on her after the scatter anyway, so she made a pass to the already engaged Scalpel who scored again with a SnapShot! My dice was extremely strong in this one. I truly like the Kick About League, the agendas are teaching game elements, I just start to explore now - my meta/country only started to play on S03.
  22. Fish win 12-0 in a closer game than the score would suggest. Obulus fails a key puppet master and misdirection on Sakana allowing him to escape with the ball and pass out to shark who manages a hat trick! Bad dice on my opponent's side is what mostly helped pull fish to victory. Roster Fishermen: Shark, Tentacles, Angel, Greyscales, Sakana, Hag. Morticians: Obulus, Dirge, Silence, Cosset, Graves, Mist. Kick off after Sakana Fail to get the ball over the line, so Mist starts with ball. End of 1 after shark scores his first goal. Sakana is in a sticky situation. Luckily Hag comes in and does a clutch legendary moving 8(!!!) models and pulling Sakana from certain death after Silence passed a Shutout on shark but failed to get tucked on Sakana.
