  1. I'm afraid i don't have any pictures for this, but will try and get in as much detail as possible... The Hunters took to the pitch fielding a classic lineup of Theron, Hearne, Egret, Jaecar, Chaska, and Fahad, against the Masons fielding Hammer, Brick, Tower, Flint, Mallet and Marbles. Hunters were receiving. Theron took charge early on, blocking hammer's attempts to get stuck in while pinning flint to stop the wily striker from making a play for the ball after kicking off. Egret followed this up further wounding the striker while picking up the ball. Meanwhile with a forest available near the Hunter's line, hearne darted forward, skewered a hapless Mallet, and then melted back into the forest before the mason had any chance of retaliation. The Masons stuck together as a team, forging a veritable wall for the hunters to be dashed upon, however early on in the game the hunters were able to use the cover and Theron's tricks to their advantage and generally stayed out of the way of the Masons brutal hammerblows. Flint soon went down, and Mallet followed afterwards, taken down by Theron after making a brutal charge on Hearne. Marbles also suffered, after being caught in Jaecar's brutal traps over a few turns of the game. Things didn't all go the hunters way however, Egret made progress on the left flank with the ball, but thanks to some aid from Hammer, Tower was able to get in and grab the ball, although an unfortunate scatter left it still in the hunters grasp due to him being isolated from the rest of the team. As the game progressed, the hunters also started seeing some wear, with first Chaska then Theron going down under the mason's relentless blows. With the ball back in play, Hearne went for a goal, and misjudged his distances, only to be charged in the back by a vengeful brick, and promptly knocked back and tackled. Jaecar managed to get the ball back and take down brick in the process, but unfortunately this took more effort than he had anticipated, and he was unable to get the ball back to hearne. Mallet went down yet again, but Flint, now back on the pitch then made his own play for the ball, and snatched it away before passing it downfield to hammer. With a bit more passing, Tower had the ball and popped a goal in, and Hammer took down Fahad to take the scoreline to an equal 9 all. After the ball went back out again, the recovered mallet and brick went onto goal defence. However, flint went down for a second time after a timely blow from hearne, and then the entire team set upon hammer, who finally fell to a flurry from Egret. This was a really close game in the end, and took a fairly epic 3 hours in total to play! The hunters definitely struggled to turn early successes into points on the board, but managed to grind out a win thanks in many respects to the ticking timebomb of Egret's poison, and the Masons generally having insufficient momentum to justify clearing it. A fun game though Hemlocke for the Hunters!
