    The Dirty knives Cannon

So I came up with this crazy idea of giving Friday bag of quaffers, tooled up, and a couple crowd outs so she can hit four damage with two dirty knives. She would need at least two crowd outs to have a chance. Anyone have any thoughts?
  2. New players often make the mistake of trying to build an all-out Killy team and bench Friday. More experienced usually include Friday in the lineup but utilize her as strictly as a goal-scorer who can also reposition the cat. Really experienced players utilize her goal scoring, cat calling and incredibly powerful ability to set up take-outs. Here's an article illustrating how Friday makes take-outs so much easier. http://midwestwargaming.com/its-friday-or-the-highway/
  3. Greetings forum dwellers! This is the eighth episode of Run the Length a gameplay commentary series for guild ball. Join me as I breakdown an Alchemists vs Brewers game against Pat VanValue explaining my thoughts and decisions as I played this match. 4. Hello Guild Ballers! Bob here with yet another link to my blog: Read up on it here! This time I've created some more characters fitting a 'new' guild. Seamstresses (since concubines or whores sounds a bit offensive?) First you'll have a bit of fluff around existing characters and the relation they have with this new guild. After you'll find some players for that new guild. I did not spell-check this and only just finished up on writing it, so if you want to share your thoughts, I'm open to suggestions/corrections. If you read my blog regularly you'll find the story I've used also touches this part of my blog. Where I have some fiction up on the Brewers after season 2. Hope you enjoy the read! See you soon! 5. Hello, The Scenario: Friday declares a legal charge. During her charge movement she uses "Get over Here!" to preposition Scum. She finishes her Charge movement. Friday then initiates her charge attack. Given that Scum is also in melee range with Fridays charge target she would also get the extra die for "Ganging Up". Question: Can Friday use her Character Trait as identified in the sequence above? Relevant Ruling: As only one Legendary Play has been identified as an action (Strike from the Shadows) and no Character Traits have been identified as one, I'm interpreting the scenario above as a legal sequence. Please let me know if you need any clarification(s). Thank you in advance for your time.

    I don't like Friday(s)

Caveat: This only applies to her as of Season 1. Friday is a reliable and great striker - like most she has a high Run and Kick, what sets her apart is her Shadow Like ability to get her out of combat at the start of her activation and her interaction with Spigot and Scum. She even has her own Heroic to make her even better at the ball game. You could argue her interaction with Scum also makes her OK in combat, as having a Crowding In on demand is helps her low TAC. You could say she’s easily up there in the top 5 of Strikers in the game with a full interaction of buffs from her team. She stands out on a team of sub-par footballers - almost to the point where her stats (in comparison to the rest of the team) scream at you to make you take her in the false hope that she'll survive to eventually interact with the ball. I don't like Friday. On a team of sub-par footballers (that can be buffed to above-average if the stay near Spigot's Football Legend) you want to further emphasize on what your team does best - getting punched punching! Having one model stood down the wing hoping to get a ball or dithering with the ball isn't doing your team a favour. Friday isn't Greyscales or Flint - she hasn't got anything special that will allow her to weave through lines. She hasn't got Close Control so she can keep the ball; she hasn't got Unpredictable Movement to stay out of incoming threats. Scum's a better defensive ball handler! Her interaction with Spigot means she's got some great threat if she has the ball. You won't be needing Time's Called if you're in Football Legend's aura though. If you're using Time's Called there's a good chance you won't be in Football Legend's and Defence Support's aura. Want to benefit from any of that you’re essentially leashing her to Spigot. What about Scum's interaction? As mentioned earlier if you’re going for a tackle to get the ball or Dodge off the Get Over Here is great, you can also use it before Scum’s activation to pass the ball off to it. But now you’ve just handed the ball from your best player to your worst player. Good job Friday! You could say if you’re playing offence to generate MP then she can contribute by applying Dirty Knives from a distance behind the line of engagement. She’s got a great non-linear threat to score, but as a Brewer’s player you’ll want to keep that ball to put pressure on your opponent to engage you and generate those precious MP’s for all sorts of reasons. You’re happy with that ‘cos it’s damn hard to take your front line of Tough Hide players out in one turn. You then use that constant threat to close out the game at 6-8 VP. So if you’re happy with that by all means carry on and use Friday but you’re essentially playing a man down. Give Scum the ball. You can’t drop it from you’re line-up like you can Friday so you may as well give it the ball. This suddenly frees up a player spot. Want more front-line tank? Stoker. Cheap MP generation? Rage. Control and Condition removal? Hemlocke. Even more front-line tanking? Fangtooth. A star player? Two Hooper’s Gutter (seriously buy Gutter). Friday is a great player in the wrong team. A lot of ball teams have the benefit of a good backup player they can 1-2 with - we don’t, for now. As soon as we do I’ll probably eat the above words. Season 1 - play to your strengths and get punching.
