    Honour in S4

I played mostly Hammer in S3 and so far it's been Hammer for S4 as well. Hammer, Wrecker, Granite, vHarmony, v.Chisel and a flex. But I want to get back in the Honour game. While Honour is mostly unchanged there are some new faces on the pitch these days. So how does peoples Honour 6s look like and how do you play them? Is it Super Strat Flint for that first turn goal and then grab what oppertunities arise or are there some other janky stuff you use with Honour? Do you use the new and improved oChisel missile, do you superstrat Honour then let vChisel tank her up with inf? What are the S4 Honour tricks?
  2. I had the following situation in a game which allowed Harmony to run the length of the field and score a goal. I just wanted to make sure everything that was done was done correctly Harmony has the ball Honour's turn used Quick time to allow Harmony to move forward 2" Used Superior Strategy to target Harmony and give her a 2nd activation Using Linked, it is now Harmony's turn Harmony Family is active Jogs 6" attacks and causes 2 damage so she can then dodge 4" forward and out of engagement ends activation uses second activation to go 8" Shoots and scores a goal awesome combo if I did everything correctly

    How to Play: Honour Masons

So thanks for the great feedback on our last 'How to Play' video. With the responses we have had we're now moving to examine each captain and their common/most used plays. Here's Honour and Tapper from the Kick-Off set, ideal for getting new players up to speed. It's by no means perfect, but let us know your thoughts!

    Any advice on using hammer?

Now that SteamCon has past and been, I have recently changed my league team from the Masons Kick Off 6 to the following; Hammer, Marbles, Brick, Flint, Mallet and Tower. Only played two games with this team. Lost the testing game against Morts 12-11 (best match I ever had tbh) and lost the first league game with this team 12-4 against Blacksmiths. Is there any hints and tips that a new hammer user could learn and even apply in future games?

    Thoughts on Granite

So I've been playing a bit with Granite lately, and I have to agree with previous posts that she's a hard nut to crack, namely due to her incredibly slow movement. However, I find with the right team build (namely hammer/v.harmony or just honour), you can turn granite into a surprising powerhouse. The following abilities are essential, depending on your team build. My preference is with hammer/v.harmony, but if you want more of a influence-friendly build, use Honour as her quick time will allow you to get those extra inches he desperately needs. When using hammer you have to sacrifice momentum to use Hammer's heroic play, allowing granite to be able to use his Punishing March ability, providing an extra 2". Combine that with V.Harmony's Marked target and granite gains an impressive 4" movement, allowing her to now put on some serious pressure (10" threat). I tend to use this at the right moment rather than all the time and ensure that granite is always centered within the action, so that if necessary I can dig her in more easily. She's absolutely useless against some teams, as she's too easily locked down or easily avoided - namely Fish or Alchemists (their constant burning means Granite basically goes nowhere). However, I quite like using her against brewers or butchers, where her Tar Pit and KD 2 ensures she can get some work done. Final point, I also find Wrecker to be very useful with her as he can zip around pushing players closer to her, without any real fear of being taken out easily (even if he is, it's only 1 VP and by then Granite should have taken out a player on her own, or caused a lot of issues. The main problem I see with Granite is she really needs a lot of support. She needs movement buffs and her short melee range really limits her choices due to the number of models with unpredictable movement. Overall, I have seen some success with her but only at the cost of other players I'd probably rather field. V.Harmony I love taking with her, but again that choice is very situational (brewers or alchemists). I feel if granite was brought up to 4/6" movement (same as brick), her utility would be much more improved, but Brick's counter-charge ensures that he gets the spot in most games.
  6. Hello, If I target Memory with Superior Strategy (in the Snake Draft format) does Memory gain an activation? Presumably with all the benefits of taking said activation (i.e. if you were to give it a movement stat and Overclocked it could charge, or the puppet could use its standard advance to stand up, etc.) Superior Strategy 4 4” - Target friendly Guild model gains an additional activation and is allocated [1] Influence. Inanimate Object This model does not have an activation. This model does not generate VP when it suffers the taken-out condition. Thank you.
  7. The Steam Con design a veteran player seminars in Manchester today have created Veteran Honour. A really nice looking model, using a hammer as a walking stick to support her damaged legs, and with a pet sheep dog on the way! Expected to be released as the give-away model in the swag bag at Steam Con 2018. Possible role (subject to playtesting) is as a supportive goal-keeper.
  8. This evening the the battle for gutter was fought with the butchers representing themselves against the masons. My line up was Fillet Piggy Hook vBrisky Boar and vOx His line up was Honour Marble Brick oHarmony Mallet Flint The game started out with the butchers receiving and turn one progressing about how you'd expect. Everyone advanced forward a bit to get into position for turn two, while Fillet rocketed into the enemy line using Brisky's quick time and the ball. She charged into brick unleashing a blood rain on honour marbles and harmony. Eventually dodging out of melee from harmony and marbles and killing brick with her legendary. At the end of the turn Honour walks into her and push dodges her towards harmony while accidently leaving base to base allowing fillet to dodge back out of range forcing Honour to quick time back into melee. The turn ends with masons up in momentum by one allowing them to win the initiative. He leads off the turn with a sisters double activation for 9 influence, killing fillet and scoring a goal with Harmony. The butchers lead off with a boar activation finishing off Honour who was wounded due to fillet's turn one shenanigans. At this point the butchers have most of their influence still on the board with minimal mason influence remaining and brisky in possession of the ball just forward of the deployment line. Vox and piggy tie up Mallet and Harmony allowing meathook to get in the damage necessary to kill harmony with a bleed tick. At this point the game is a 6/6 tie, and the turn ends with Brisky killing marbles who decided to try and tie up Boar. Leading into turn three the butchers have enough momentum to guarantee initiative and they occupy the entire center of the board with wounded players on all sides. The path to victory is relatively clear with the dead masons all walking back onto the pitch from the left out of range of Brisky. Boar leads off the turn again by murdering mallet who is knocked down and surrounded. Hes also able to knock down flint. Flint in a last ditch effort steals the ball from Brisky and sinks a shot putting the game at 9 to 10 in favor of the masons. However Brisky is able to retrieve the kick off and sink a shot of her own to end the game.
  9. Need to pick up a KS Honour and any Blackheart.
  10. If Silence succesfully casts Shutout on Honour, once she finally activates, can she use Superior Strategy so a friendly model (say Harmony) gets an extra activation, or is this forbidden because Shutout states that "[she] must be the last model the enemy team activates." Shutout | If target enemy model has not activated this turn, it must be the last model the enemy team activates. Superior Strategy | Target friendly Guild model gains an additional activation and is allocated [1] Influence.

    All Stars Game

Here is a fun one for you. Drop 2 Influence from each captain. Now drop any Legendary Play. Now make a team with no captain and any mascot you want. Who is your team? EDIT: To add a few constraints and clear up vagueness. Captains can now play where ever and are considered "friendly guild models." You may still use any mascot. Other normal team building rules apply.

  16. I played my first demo game the other day after buying the kick off set. The rules are by and large nice and simple but I can see the interactions and tactics being complex and the real depth of the game, ace stuff. The main query I had was using Family to copy stats from honour to harmony. Mainly when honour has negatives already applied. My example was that I had given smashed shins to honour, making her kick -4/-4. Now when we triggered family, we played it that the stats copied were reduced by -4/-4 so harmony gained the higher tax but ended up having worse kick. we felt this played ok, but also seemed a bit overpowered by being able to use one modifier to affect two players, I know they can choose to not copy the stats. my issue is I cannot find a timing structure of clarification post on if family always just takes the printed card value regardless of modifiers on honour, and then copies across and then any buffs/debugged for harmony then work against her new base stats. or do certain debuts that clearly are aimed at changing the base stats of a model, like smashed shins, do affect the copied value. apologies if this has been answered but I could not find a thread that gave a clear examples of this interaction, which seems like something that would benefit a lot, as I found quite a few puzzled people. so what I'd like to know basically, is does family always just copy the printers on card values. If not under what conditions does that change and an official examples of the different condition types and how they affect this please.

    Masons Civil War

So tomorrow the Gamers Guild Guildball League comes to a close with the Masons Vs Masons Final. 18 Coaches set out to be the best but in the end only the 2 masons coaches are left. We(Fabian & me),overconfindentally, predicted this at the start of the league ;-) but never knew it might become a reality. To make sure we don't play mirror, this is the system we are going to use: - Roll of - winning coach can pick captain first. - Then we alternate, choosing the remaining roster. - 6th player will be a union model. Harmony & VetHarmony count as 1 model, so whoever takes Harmony has the option of playing regular or veteran. Who will come out victorius in the Mason Civil War! Bets can be placed with the Parlay, the Bookmakers Guild captain.
  20. Episode 3 of Run the Length is up! Hope you guys like this one! I would also love feedback on how the community would like their match reports. Everything from camera angle to what kind of overlays you guys want let me know!

    SO! Marbles is rubbish. (?)

There was a lot of handbags going on between Boar, Tower and Brick. Marbles was standing just to the left of Tower. Boar had charged Tower to be countercharged by Brick. After he had stood up again he hit Tower who counter attacked. 2 wounds on Tower. Tower pushed Boar 3" out of reach of him but still engaged by Marbles. Boar sensibly decided not to hit the monkey. Honour had 6INF on her and was within walking distance of the melee. She walked into contact with Boar. Getting 8 dice because he was engaged by the monkey 1 for crowding out and 1 because the monkey is Marbles. She had been 'Tooled up' by Tower earlier. She got 5 hits Boar. then rolled another 8 dice. She rolled NO '1'. She chose the & thus doing 10 damage with the 1 INF. This removed Boar from the field of play and gained her 2 MP & 2 VP. With the rest of her INF she Super Strat. herself. (Whilst this was going on Mallet was being beaten up by the dog, Ox and Shank.) She then walked 6" kicked 6" and scored the winning goal. None of which could have happened if Marbles had not been brilliant at supporting Honour. Bill
  25. Finished my first 3 and wanted to share. Honour is next on the table.
