    If there is a furry convention on, count me in! I was trying to be funny - the first Dark Souls game you cut the tails off the bosses for rare weapons! All about those rare weapons yo!

    Brill, thanks. Some brutal rules! Still confused about that ring because how can you draw more then 6 cards when don't you discard the ring to use it? And is that card from the discard pile or your life deck? Seems like the same ability as a humanity to me atm.

    bonfire with boss

    Yeah it's almost like when you get to the final boss your always on the last bonfire anyways, which means no more loot. Mini bosses. So can you retreat from an encounter? It never mentions this, so maybe not? I don't know, parts of me think its best to have house rules to enjoy the darn game.
  4. 1) The remnants seem to be just health. Spend them on just heath or as equipment for a chance for something more important in the deck. I have been kind of wondering if it might be good to fill the deck out with these types so you can control the hand better, but surely more equipment and stamina is more ideal. 2) Pretty sure some items can do that, I got an item in one game that let you heal the whole party 3 cards for like one stamina, brill. 3) yeah those area based attack cards are pretty limiting, specially when the dmg isn't hugely significant. Looks like a card the character would have to sit on for the right moment which is pretty painful!

    Questions - FAQ Required !!

    Yeah that makes sense, because I have learnt that they all have more specific conditions to them. Bleed - The next attack against this card gains +1 damage. So this could sit on a player and not be used until it is hit again. Once hit with the +1 dmg, the bleed leaves the card. Frostbite - This card suffers 1 damage the next time it moves. So here, you could technically not move and never get that damage, but yeah that ties movement down. But yeah, did not know this! I have been playing all of the conditions as just +1 damage to next attack! Dang, need to read and remember this more. Poison - This card suffers 1 damage at the end of its next activation. Can't escape these and need to drop poison enemies as a focus! Stagger - This card suffers 1 damage the next time it makes an attack! Yeah I think I have been playing stagger right at least! So yeah maybe some clarification still around if they get removed between two different encounters. It looks like at the moment I can only get two of these in between rests. Have you finished three at all yet before a rest? I am thinking maybe three level ones perhaps, but loot drops are pretty small. I am liking the game but hey, it seems more simple then the board game which is good playing with friends who are not hardcore boarders! I like things pretty simple as well tbh.

    Questions - FAQ Required !!

    1) I have been playing the cache face down. 2) The conditions disappear when you are damaged by them. The next question to this is can you be effected by multiple conditions at once? If so, brutal! 3) I have been playing they take damage when they become active, just like the way I play conditions on the players characters. 4) I think the Herald can do that and I have found a treasure card that can heal ALL characters. Nice! 5) I figure that yes - these cards when not used as damage dumps, are only used one at a time like an Equipment card. 6) I guess you could, your using it as a damage dump after using stamina to keep it. I am sure that is alright. 7) Have not got this card in game yet sorry! 8) Same with this one, I have not got a Falchion yet sorry! Hope that helps some.

    Tails around the bonfire!

    I played a solo game last night, but with the four characters. It's an interesting combination, they all help each other out in one way or another. One thing I struggle with is this balance of weapons to stamina, it seems because you can only buy stamina the deck gets to heavy with stamina draws over things to use them on. So not sure how balanced it was in testing, but was considering if I should bend rules or shuffle better, if that is such a thing. After a battle only one or two "treasure" cards is given, if all four characters got a treasure card instead, the decks would evolve quicker and the feel of the changes would be more impactful on the experience. Plus there is so many of them to give out before the last fire! So that's something to try. I am also trying to work out what stamina is best for each character in the upgrading. It looks like all of them need three, one is more important then the others and there is also a volume difference between the other two. So there is more to break down there. Purhaps even trying to keep the same ratios as the initial deck to make the hand draw better.
  10. Hey all, Just played my first hand the other night and really enjoyed the grief and failure. Just like the game I thought it would be great to have an area where everyone interested can meet around the bonfire and discuss STRATEGY. My first lesson: Bosses need good hands, I am talking equipment with more then 2 dmg to get through armour, crazy! RULEBOOK - PDF PRAISE THE SUN!
