  1. V. Hounor Ideas

I think her speed and 1" reach might keep me from picking her into Shark fish
  2. Looking for a few LE Models, and a few cards Models: -LE Blackheart -LE Rage Cards: -Chibi Hammer/Wrecker -Chibi Union -Chibi Farmers (If these exist) I'm in the US, and would like to only buy from someone in the US. Thanks for poking your head in here, y'all. Cheers, -Capt
  3. Let's Revisit Lucky

That's pretty much assumed when you bring Hammer, and I don't think giving Brick influence for Hammer to succ off of him is the same as "Brick gets influence". Kryzak even references in the same post you're talking about that influence goes to people like tower, but only for tooled up and for hammer-food; same for brick.
  4. Engineers go Hunting.

In a desperate bid to win the favor of Harold the Hat, the Engineers Guild approached the Herald's of Winters Moon and sheepishly begged the would-be opponents to join them on the pitch. Old Man Ballista showed up with his trusty wooden bug, and the four people who responded to his group-text: Salvo the frail, Locus the woodwork abomination, Ratchet the similarly frail, and Velocity the woodperson of questionable usefulness. Skatha and her exceptional forehead accepted the Engineer challenge, and she called forth her finest players to the trampled, well-worn pitch: Snow, the Canid Hero; Ulfr, the Ninjazerker; Seenah, the Ursine Champion of Justice; Egret, the kneeshakingly renowned Woodswoman; and Chaska, the master trapper and shotgun maestro. Ballista elected to receive the kickoff. Ballista manages to get the ball toward center-pitch, and at the beginning of turn 2, scores an easy goal with "Breach!", knocking down Chaska and Snow. Ulfr rubber-bands a goal, and Velocity scores quickly in response. Skatha takes the goal kick, and drives for the goalpost, scoring comfortably. In the last activation of the third turn, the ball is free and Mainspring is left to activate. Mainspring jogs up, scooping the ball into its bug-a-pult. A successful pass from Mainspring, and a few grinding gears, and Velocity swipes her foot, adding to the momentum of the recently bug-launched ball. Velocity, the performer of the day, scores a clean snapshot, netting Ballista an undeserved, close win. Harry the Hat moves closer yet to the mechanical grasp of the Engineers.
  5. Masons Decimate

http://steamforged.com/sfg-news-blog/the-union-in-chains-decimate-week-two They've fixed it. They didn't cause a fuss, but they quietly made it a very appealing sculpt. I hope many of y'all, like myself, change your mind on "caring" about the Union in Chains, because I find the new sculpt to be worth playing for.
  6. Masons Decimate

Holy cow I hate it. It doesn't look like a guild ball model; and it certainly doesn't look like decimate.
  7. Mirror Match

I'm curious as to how everyone here approaches the Masons vs. Masons matchup. I have put a ton of thought into it, and I honestly can't decide. Additionally, in a Big League (which I'm currently dealing with), the mirror becomes much more complicated when the concept of "loaned" players comes into factor. I seek your thoughts and input, fellow Mason's; how do ya beat rock with rock?
  8. WTC with Masons

I'm not sure I'm envisioning things correctly; how were you able to consistently get the ball with flint despite kicking off? We're your opponents ignoring the ball with their first activation, or deploying so poorly that they weren't able to get to it?
  9. Mason's Team Selection and changes to Roster Size

-Honour + Marbles -Hammer + Wrecker -Harmony -Flint -Brick -Mallet -Tower -A&G/Minx (Though I suggest A&G) Mason's Tournament 9 Always felt a bit too tight, because we're a team that wants either both captains and both mascots, or only one captain and one mascot. If you choose the former, Harmony and Brick were pretty much auto-locked for your Honour/Marbles teams, and your other 3 were almost always Flint, Mallet/Tower, and a Union Player. Being forced to choose between Mallet and Tower hurts, because Tower is huge for Hammer teams, but Mallet is useful in both. Now that the limit is up to 10, you can have your cake, and eat it too.
  10. S3 Chisel Advise please

Part of "how to use" is "when to use" if someone's contribution is saying "Use Chisel in these 5 situations", they're contributing "when to use" if someone's contribution is saying "Use chisel in 0 situations", they're also contributing "when to use", just not in the way you think OP wants. That doesn't make the contribution invalid.
  11. Hammer V. Engineers

Colossus was incredibly disruptive to my positioning and prohibitive of my teams movement (hard to push around, hard to kill, 2" reach, easy KD, and masons lack dodges) and Hoist is just way more flexible than Masons can handle, and he can't really be easily stopped. Not to mention, basically everyone on their roster is an excellent goal threat Brought her, and was pretty unimpressed. breaking play doesn't really help enough against rosters that don't have Ballista and Salvo, and Smelling Salts isn't really necessary for Engineers
  12. Y'all really nailed the Chisel problems on the head. Great podcast guys
  13. Black Friday order mess

I'm pretty Super bummed; just got my package from the Black Friday sale. Already knew Mist would be shipping at a later date, but I opened the box to find the Show Dice completely missing, and they had sent me Resin Esters instead of Resin Egret. Sent an email two days ago when I first opened it, and still no response. Edit: Called them shortly after posting this, and was very happy to receive prompt, simple customer service; exchanged information regarding what was missing, and the woman on the line said everything would be dispatched today. Very happy with their over the phone customer service, it seems like the way to go.
  14. Hammer V. Engineers

I was right :/ Game went 8-12, in his favor. Hoist and Colossus just have the perfect character traits to resist a lot of Mason damage threats, reanimation negates a lot of the squishiness of his squishy players, and they're all so fast and hardy. Not a good matchup for Masons at all
