  3. Howdy, today I played in an event where the above subject came up and I was informed I had been playing "wrong" for quite some time. how I understood it: A declares charge B declares defencive stance or not A moves model B declares counter attack or not. today I was told this was wrong, and in fact I must declare the stance and attack before the charging model has even moved. This didn't seem right to me, as if I declare a counter, they could very well change their placing so as to negate it. which is the correct ruling please? cheers ?
  4. Just do it. Slit his throat. He's lying there, waiting. "No" she said. The man in the barber chair opened his eyes and looked up at her, her thick black fringe starting to stick to her forehead, she was profusely sweating. "I-is everything alright?" He stuttered. "Fine, nearly done, well have you looking fresh in a jiffy." Valerie replied, before sliding her straight edge back across his supple throat, then back down again, taking away the soap with it. She wiped the blade on the flannel over his shoulder, "DONE" she exclaimed; an odd tone of relief rang through her voice. What a waste of time. "If you just want to see Alph' over there, he'll sort out your payment, enjoy the game tonight!" She walked off before he could respond and got herself some cold water to drink- "cool and calm" she said to herself quietly, staring straight at the water settling down after her swig. "Cool and calm" imagining the lake she grew up near, always cool water, always calm. Her thoughts interrupted by loud knocking on the door, before the knocker walked in. "Valerie." Edge started, "its time to go, get into your kit, we're about to kick off." Valerie nodded at Edge, "I'll be there in a moment." The Barbers Guild Ball team captain, nodded and replied, "good, don't want to lose our star so soon." He winked and left, laughing. What was so funny, she thought to herself- probably at what you did to that baker boy last week. She shook the voice from her head and walked back into the barber shop. The Barbers Guild were relatively new to the game of Guild Ball, but each district the guild was in, were trying players out for the main team. Valerie was the newest of this team, having only played one game, which she was reluctant to play in. She said she wouldn't play again after the incident but Edge had insisted she had to play one more game. One more game to impress the Longshanks. Edge had big plans for his team, really get the Barbers on the map, or as he would say "get a slice of the pie." Edge was the one who took her in when she had nowhere to go, he hadn't said he'd figured out where she'd come from, but Valerie thought he probably had guessed. Edge was different, the only person she'd met that she didn't have to stop her self from harming, she hadn't worked out why yet. There were quite a few people int he crowd, all Local to their region, but none Valerie knew, the rest of her team were waving and shouting to their friends and family. The opposing team were doing the same, members drawn in from the local Gardeners Guild. Gardening was a trade only the wealthy could afford, so it was obvious how they had special kits made up embroidered and clean. Valerie's kit wouldn't come clean. The stain of the baker boys blood still splattered up her sleeves. The Gardeners were all glaring at her, the Baker whose blood she was sporting was the cousin of the Gardeners team captain, so she thought he wouldn't be the most easy going in this game. The gardener captain was a tall man, white, styled hair, clean shaven with a little knick just below his chin. Clearly the sign he's started shaving his own face after last weeks game. Let's open that cut up "Stop it." She said to herself, "it's just a game, no one needs to get hurt." But someone will, either us, or them. Valerie hated to admit it, but she was right. The score was in favour of the Gardeners and they were outnumbering the Barbers with 6 to 4, it was just Edge, Valerie, Soap, an old barber, a veteran of the century war and Tyson, Edge's pet chihuahua. A very small animal with a styled Mohawk between his ears. He looked ridiculous, had little impact on the game, but he was very distracting. Whilst she was looking at the miniature dog, she saw it barking at Edge, who had two Gardeners laying into him. They stepped back as he collapsed, a pile of black cloth, beard and tattoos. She saw them laughing as time seemed to slow, and squaring up to Tyson, ready to attack the mascot. Tyson! "Don't worry Valerie, we've got this" she said reassuring herself. Valerie charged the two Gardeners before they could get too close to the dog, she slit the throats of the young one in one quick flurry with her straight edge. At the same time she grabbed the ponytail of the other and dragged him to the floor and started kicking his head, turning it to a bloody mush, glistening on the grounds. The crowd were silent. She let out a deep breath, then slowly turned to the Gardener captain, his face pale. Her other side was in charge now. She flicked her straight edge, cleaning it in an instant, she'd done this before. "Her", Longshanks said to the hooded associate next to him. "We want her in the Barbers Guild." "But, but she's uncontrollable, unhinged, unhealthy!" "She's perfect. She's fury, rage and beauty." The associate looked across at Valerie. Her thick black hair, messy and stuck to her face in a mix of blood, saliva and sweat. "Beauty?" He questioned, "are, are we looking at the same woman?" "Just picture it, the revenue, the Tag Line, Don't Touch The Hair! She'll draw them in for her beauty before the match, then keep them there with her displays of violence. Perfect to elevate this Guild to the big leagues. Just imagine the billboards" Longshanks started to laugh, the only sound in the crowd of people watching Valerie sat in the middle of the pitch, stroking Tyson, both covered in the Gardeners teams blood. "Calm and Cool. Calm and Cool." Valerie repeated over and over to herself and the little dog.

  8. Funnily enough, my local Hunters player listened to the cast and had a little mentoring from Mr Perkins and has turned his Hunters game completely around! So there must be something about it... Well for a while now I've been playing the "Attricimen " roster and Hunters have struggled against it at times because it can be so flexible. It's certainly something that I think season 3 will help them fix. Cheers, Saves me getting the link lol
  9. Salt in S3 and your take on changes

Salt has always been a realistic goal threat. Sure his 1:4 kick meant you HAD to bonus time, but even if you didn't, it was still a 50/50 chance. Plus if you miss, he's likely just 4" away from the ball, so not in a bad spot at DEF5. however, when you bonus time, suddenly becomes a 2/4 which if you're already in range (which he can easily do from deployment line with the right set up) you're golden for an end of Turn goal. In season3, he just got turned up, he's always his 2/4 and his bonus time makes him 3/3 ? Only needing 3s from Tap In, WITH THE SAME THREAT RANGE. Salt is my most regular goal scorer in my Attricimen, Just needs set up.
  10. Thanks for he feedback, I've passed this to Podbean, they said their Tech dept. are looking into it Personally I still think the way Jamie described the Hunters tactics in this still ring true with he new Hunters. Hearne has been turned up with a higher kick. Seenah can disengage himself. Minx is now awesome. Theron had lost some spark, but I think the rest of the changes make up for this.
  11. "To celebrate the success of "The Local Legend Big League", Mr Hall decided to throw a party, a celebration, a grand event, a Ball Of Legends! A date was selected, a venue chosen, guests to be invited when there wasn't 40,000 other things going on, or any Magical Gatherings! However, upon writing his invitations, he thought to himself, "everyone is a guild Ball hooligan or player....". He scribbled out "Formal Wear Required" and replaced with "Violence Optional", cancelled the food and ordered some trophies. The Ball Of Legends would crown a new Legend, and the crown, it would be stained with blood!" About: Hull's 3rd Guild Ball tournament and second hosted at Stronghold Games. 12. What is the error message saying? I emailed PodBean and for their app they said make sure you're using the newest version of their app, 3.7.1 Still not sure on ITunes... waiting for their response.
  13. This is a problem I'm encountering and I can't seem to solve yet. however, I listen on my iTunes app on my iPod fine, 'my podbean app also works fine, the website works fine for me on chrome (mobile and pc) and my PC will play it through iTunes too. thats why it's difficult to fix, it works for some people, not for others.
  14. Double Dodge Episode 9 - The Quickening

We in the U.K. have grown to fear Jack. He is the chosen one. I think in Britain we've all come to terms with Jack iron-manning the Saturday LCQ then taking the worlds. He wins almost as many tournaments as Steve, but the very image of this kid stood across from you smiling from underneath his 'fro, is bound to psyc out some of his opponents ? Theres nothing wrong with mascot goals. The majority of my goals have been scored with Salt.
