  1. I played a Blackheart Union team in a 3 round event yesterday. First game was against Masons. I played Blackheart, Coin, Mist, Benediction, Rage and Decimate. Won 12-6 with 6 take-outs. Decimate made the final blow on Flint. https://imgur.com/rMWb5Ye Second game was against another Masons player. I played Blackheart, Coin, Mist, Benediction, Grace and Decimate. Won 12-2 with 3 goals. Grace scored the last goal after using Quick Foot on herself and sprinting into range. https://imgur.com/Nve0clp Last game was against Brewers. I played Blackheart, Coin, Mist, Benediction, Decimate and HEMLOCKE. Won 12-4 with 3 goals. Blackheart made the last goal after Decimate and Mist both scored during that turn. https://imgur.com/JLwbdsG

I do play Gutter into Masons because I feel that with their high ARM Velocity could struggle at getting the ball from them. I may try playing Gutter against Fish as well like you suggested. I've never tried it. I like Velocity because of her playbook and high DEF. She has the best goal threat in the team and if you put her with Nimble within 8" of the enemy goal you can reliably do Snap Shots. The chance of success of a Snap Shot with 4 dices is 69% and 81% if you Bonus Time.

I play Pin Vice, Mainspring, Velocity, Hoist, Rage and Gutter against Morts, Butchers, Brewers and Union. I play Pin Vice, Mainspring, Velocity, Hoist, Colossus, Compound against pretty much everything else. When I play Rage and Gutter, I always have 1 INF on Rage and most of the INF on Gutter and Hoist. In these matchups, I mainly use Pin Vice to give out Alternator and Deletion because if I put her too far forward she will die. Pin Vice and Velocity get some INF when I feel I can start going for goals to close out the game or if the way my opponent positioned his models will let me easily get 2 goals.

    Inverted Polarity

They would take 3 damage from any of Pin Vice Character plays since it's not an enemy character play nor playbook damage result.

I tried to copy Where'd They Go in one game but missed. I don't usually try it past turn 1. I also don't really like using it because I prefer being able to give Hoist 5 Influence

Last Friday was the first sanctioned event in Ontario at the Southern Ontario Open (SOO). There was a total of 17 players, 9 of us being from my meta in Ottawa/Gatineau. I brought the following team: Pin Vice Mainspring Velocity Hoist Colossus Compound Gutter Rage First, I would like to say that all my opponents were great. I had a lot of fun. RJ, the pundit running the event, was awesome. I will try to give you some short battle reports of what happened in my games. I didn't take any notes so I don't remember everything so I will not go into too many details. You can see the results of the tournament at https://www.tiebreak.co.uk/soo-guildball/feed 1st round vs Trevor playing Union (Blackheart, Coin, Gutter, Rage, Harry, Mist?) I played Pin Vice, Mainspring, Velocity, Hoist, Rage, and Gutter. I'm sorry but I don't recall much of what happened this game. I won with 4 take outs and 1 goal while my opponent got 1 take out. 2nd round vs Ash playing Union (Blackheart, Coin, Gutter, Rage, Mist, ?) I played the same lineup again. I start engaging his team fairly early ln the left side where the ball is and keep Velocity on the right. I manage to get a shot at the goal with Pin Vice and fail. He recovers the ball with Mist but can't get far enough from Pin Vice. I think he wins initiative and kills my Rage. Pin Vice puts Alternator on herself and charges Mist to Tackle the ball and score. He sends the ball to the left where most of his models are and does some damage to the rest of my team but Gutter and Hoist being so resilient, they manage to survive. Hoist gets the ball and scores. My opponent sends the ball more centrally and needs to get the ball with Mist otherwise Velocity will get it and score. He decides to go directly for the goal and scores with Mist. That was a mistake since it gives me the opportunity to send the ball to Velocity and score for the win. 3rd round vs Paul playing Masons (Honour, Marbles, Mist, Chisel, Decimate, Brick) Paul is a player from Gatineau so we play almost every week. I played Pin Vice, Mainspring, Colossus, Gutter, Hoist and Compound. I manage to kill Chisel turn 2 and keep Gutter and Hoist alive by healing them. He can't finish them off because I wait to activate Hoist just after he brings in Marbles for the Assist with Honour and Hoist >< Marbles out of melee range. That little trick, spending MP for healing, the KDs from Colossus and crowding out because of 2" melee on Colossus and Gutter keeps all my models alive. Paul notices that he won't be able to win by taking out my models so he switches to going for goals. He gets his first goal with Mist. By then I kill Marbles and Honour and score in response to put me to 10 VP. At the end of the turn Paul manages to score a 2nd goal to put the game at 10-8. However, I win initiative and can either go for a kill or a goal to win. I choose to activate Pin Vice who gets the ball, drop it to Colossus' feat, builds up some MP and puts Controller on Colussus which scores for the win. Final round vs Shane playing Butchers (Ox, Princess, Boiler, Brisket, Gutter, Tenderiser) Shane is also from the Ottawa meta but it was my first time playing against him. Again, I play the same lineup I played in the first two rounds. I like playing this matchup against Butchers since I can exchange hits pretty well and that keeps me in the MP race. Gutter with Life Drinker and Hoist with Tough Hide are able to tank a lot of damage. At the start of the game, I send Rage into Gutter because I want to get rid of her asap. I manage to do so but I lose Rage to Ox's LP. Afterwards, Hoist and Gutter team up and engage most of his models and since Ox already used his LP, I manage to keep them alive. I kill Ox by putting all of my attacks with Hoist and Gutter into him over 2 turns. At the end of that turn, I also score with Velocity by charging Tenderiser and pushing him out of 4" of the goal and dodging out of melee. He sends the ball to Gutter who scores for his last activation of the turn. I send the ball to Pin Vice, win the initiative, she builds some MP and drops the ball to Velocity who goes to score immediately thanks to Controller. I am the only undefeated player after 4 rounds and win the event. So I'm pretty satisfied with my lineup. It has a really good goal threat because of all the mechanicas with Pin Vice but can also trade punches. If you have any questions about my lineup or games don't hesitate to ask them bellow.
  9. If Obulus puts Confidence on Silence and Silence's first Character Play this turn is Embalming Fluid with several enemy models under the aoe, can you reroll the dice to hit for all the separate rolls?
  10. I guess my question is not clear enough. I was asking if Venin spends 1 Influence to use the Character Play Sacrificial Puppet and hits an enemy model with it, does he generates a Momentum Point via Momentous Inspiration? I ask the question because it is not clear if Momentous Inspiration triggers only on Character plays doing damage to the enemy model. We know that if he uses Sacrificial Puppet through a playbook result it doesn't trigger Momentous Inspiration since it doesn't generate a hit.
  11. If Venin is within 4" of Smoke. Can you gain a Momentum Point from Momentous Inspiration by hitting an enemy model with Sacrificial Puppet since it does 1 damage to Venin?
  12. This is the first Guild Ball tournament in the region. It will be a pretty casual event so we will be using the following set of rules suggested by Steamforged: Tournament Length: “It’s not over, ‘til it’s over” As many rounds as needed to have a single undefeated player. Match Win Conditions: “Play to the final whistle” Winner is first player to gain 12 Victory Points Round Length: “Thinking time” Chess clock are set at 50 minutes per player. If your clock runs out, you get 2 minutes per activation and your opponent gains a Victory Point at the end of each of your activations. Total round length of 125 minutes. If the round timer runs out, the player with the most Victory Point wins. Team Roster Selection: “The First Team” Select a Guild, a Captain, a Mascot, and 4 eligible models from you Guild and/or Union models working for your Guild. Since this is our first event, having a painted team will not be mandatory. However, it will be encouraged by having more chances to win a prize if you have a fully painted team. All the entry costs of 10$ go toward prize support. If you have any questions please post below. If you are interested in going to the event, let me know here or join the Ottawa Gatineau Guild Ball Club on facebook and say you are going to the event FdB Guild Ball tournament.
