  1. GIC General Theory Thread

Nothing about this process is new or unique to steamforged... You might want to get out and check out some other game companies

Or they could just work on balancing the OP and Underpowered models..
  3. Perception of Butchers

^^^^ Perfectly stated. They also have issues with things such as unpredictable movement and being counterattacked and enemies dodging away.
  4. Perception of Butchers

    I like free wins.

Short Rant: Awarding extra VP's via cards in GB is stupid. Games already go fast enough. Mascots will now go back to hiding in the corner.
  6. Theresher. Fix before he hits please.

    Grange > Thresher
  7. The funny part of how they did that poll gave them rather skewed results. Fairly sure if the would have let you place things at the same rank it would have changed things a lot. Regardless, the plastics are worse than the metals. Are they drastically worse? No. Are they noticeably worse - yes. I did get a kick that SF showed us some pro painted Blacksmiths and used that as justification that they can hold paint... Will be interesting to see how the average gamer thinks about them when they paint up. I'm personally more annoyed that we have to wait 3 months for official blacksmith release and then we have to wait an additional 3-4 months AFTER that to get the final 6 members of the team - killed my hype for things.
  8. SteamCon US Details?

No idea. Not very often you have to buy a ticket for a con without having zero idea of what events are actually happening there.
  9. How to pull your punches?

I used to say play hunters.. Now I say play Fish
  10. That is certainly not true. SF is just taking the easier approach and balancing for the masses rather than the top 10%. Is what it is but it stops GB from being the 'premier' competitive game IMO.
  11. That is not the Fishermens fault, that is your fault for playing hunters

Interesting I guess. Not sure why SF is working on all these weird deployments and stuff so much. In 17+ years of gaming, I have basically never seen any 'alternate' formats of mini games take off that deviate any real amount from 'standard' play. The only one that I can think of that was fairly successful was Who's the Boss in Warmachine. At the last convention I attended, there were 4 players that played 'Dodgeball' and their event was literally over in 20min. They also offered speedball and I don't believe anyone even played it.

All of that relies on her being able to snowball dodge to engage... Most of her team will be out of her kick threat range if she is on the middle line and will have to move before doing that

  15. New Errata?

I'm just assuming we will forever be stuck with Vitriol, Midas, Harry, AnG etc lol
