Hammer- Season 3 story reaction *NO SPOILERS*

So, I finally just finished reading the season 3 book...

I was already  kind of "meh" about ever using Hammer in season 2.

After reading the story, now I dislike the character of Hammer so much that I don't even want to use him at all. Good job, SF for writing a story that I get so emotionally vested in that I can't separate the fiction from reality!

Great story. :)

Have you read the character descriptions? - other forces are at work that impact Hammer and his actions

Yes, I definitely understand that he is being compelled to lead the Mason's by external factors.

But, unless I find out that he is supposed to act like a big, loud d--k while doing it, I'm not changing my mind. :)

In my experience characters, named "Captain Hammer" tend to come in the big, loud %&^@ variety

;)

Yeah, I feel a pang of sympathy for him, but he loses it all by being a massive jerk. It says it all when his team mates are calling him out on his behaviour. I agree with @the_aY. I really don't want to use him just because of his fluff. Especially when we have the First Lady as our other choice for captain.

Did it bother anyone else at the end of season 3 when Harmony forcibly dragged Hammer off the pitch?  It was a great moment for both characters, but procedurally it's hard to imagine she'd be able to overpower someone of his physique.

Whoop, I'll have to reread that section.  I don't remember Brick being mentioned at all.

Yeah it was Brick. He even kind of objects to Hammer's actions too. Shows that even though he's a Hammer supporter, he still is a good guy. :)
