  1. Forum, We are mixing it up for episode 10! You guys asked about getting my opponents thoughts so we are trying that out. This is the tenth episode of Run the Length a gameplay commentary series for guild ball. In honor of the tenth episode, we are changing up the format slightly. Instead of me explaining my thoughts and decisions as I played this match Alex and Pat are playing and we will hear their thoughts throughout the game. Both Alex and Pat are on USA's WTC Team as well as hosts of Strictly The Worst Guild Ball Podcast. 2. As i was playing through a game today as a solo assassin I ended up with the hornets ring and umbral dagger from loot deck. The problem is that to use them together I would have needed 3 orange dice however there are only 2 orange dice in the core set meaning that these 2 items can't be used together.
  3. Greetings forum dwellers! Episode 7 of Run The Length is up! This time I play against Zachary Gray's Hunters. Zach is on the USA's WTC Team and was nice enough to play his off guild for me. Due to very fortunate timing the game uses the new OPD. Let me know your thoughts on the game by commenting here or on the video. Hit the like button it helps others find the series and share this with your buddies. Thanks for watching!

  5. Well, I've had my core copy for a few hours now, well... 12 hours! And I'm about an hour and a half into my first playthrough solo with an assassin. Something has struck me, I initially misread the rules and was only clearing my stamina after each encounter, not my health, so I went into the next encounter with the damage from the previous. And while it took some thought and a little luck, I found the run up to the miniboss acceptably challenging in this way, perhaps a little easier than I expected with my Assassin. Now solo play differs slightly in that you get 16 souls to spend initially, enough to push my dexterity up to Tier 2 (6 souls) strength and Intelligence up to Tier 1 each (4 souls total) and buy 6 items of loot, including Greater Magic Weapon, the Composite Short Bow and the Master's Attire. Now luck may have aided me here, the bow allowing me to kite easily and the Master's Attire giving me an extra dodge die. But it strikes me as odd that this isn't the default style of play, your damage carrying over and your stamina replenishing. Thoughts?
  6. Episode 3 of Run the Length is up! Hope you guys like this one! This week I am playing against my practice partner Nick who's Masons beat both me and Alex Botts at the Grognard Games tourney last month. I would also love feedback on how the community would like their match reports. Everything from camera angle to what kind of overlays you guys want let me know!

  9. Gameplay question.

Hi all, Thinking about how spawning and coop works, in the actual video game one player (player 1) is the lead player ie it's their world with others (player 2, 3 & 4) joining via white soapsigns etc. If the a COOP player dies in the video game player 1 can continue with the remaining players. Player one dies it's back to the bonfire to start again. My question is, when playing the board game are we allocating a player as player 1? For example. 3 players clear the first tile of all MOBs and move onto a second tile. Player 2 dies in tile 2 and spawns at the bonfire whilst the action continues for players 1&3 in tile 2. Player 2 moves onto tile 1 but due to spawning at the bonfire will they spawn all the mobs for tile 1 also? (hope this makes sense) I understand that bosses the door slams shut so once a player dies they need wait it out till either the boss is destroyed or all players die. I like the idea of one player essentially being player 1 and requiring a little more protection just like in the video game. Thanks Aaron, praising since 2012 \\[T]//

  12. Shark Vs Corsair

Hi Fishermen Just wanting to start a general discussion on both the Fish captains, and everyone's opinions on them, mainly on Corsair and how he stacks up to Shark. I've heard only good things so far, and i'm wanting to know a few things from those who've played both, in regards to how they performed/played with Corsair as their Captain instead of Shark. Questions: How have you found Corsair better/worse than Shark? Which teammates does Corsair Synergise well with vs those who can merit being dropped sooner in a Corsair-led team? How do Fisherman play as a team with Corsair, and how does that differ than with Shark? Would you still consider playing Shark over Corsair/vice versa, or is it "X all the way!"? Again, just a friendly discussion for beginners, or just people who are overwhelmed at the prospect of two captains, and want some help/guidance on how to play a Corsair led crew and how it differs, and whether or not that playstyle is for you. I would input, but i fall into that second category xD Thanks in advance- Happy Scoring
