  2. How many are coming down for the Regional Qualifier at Fat Ogre Games & Comics? They need to know how much table space to plan for? Also, they're creating a ton of prizes for the event. Get hyped! Some of the prizes Fat Ogre Games & Comics had made up for the event. Special goal post markers and case!

  6. Yes, The Regional Championship will be at Wargames Con in Austin in August, 26-28 I'm used to events requiring help from locals to provide terrain and mats, etc. I'm a former PressGanger for PP and Venture Officer for Paizo's Pathfinder Society, as well as DM/GM for a wide variety of games, supporting my community is just something I like doing. So if I can help clarify things, or provide terrain, then I'll do that.
  7. Have Pundits been contacted about supporting the Regional Qualifiers? Also, do we know if the Texas Pundits have been contacted about supporting the regional qualifier at WarGames Con? I'm fairly sure y'all will need mats and terrain. What can we do to assist with this? I can create vinyl mats for as little as $15 a mat, 10 of those should cover 20 players, we might have more than that depending on how many are attending. I can make stone walls and obstructions fairly easily, but the time to get started on all of this is now. Materials and time don't come cheap. I also have a great scoreboard design I can get printed and laminated for each table. Need an estimate about how many. I can also help supply clocks, I have about 10-12 of them, but again, we need to know what is needed before we actually arrive onsite. Come to think of it, we'll need these for the Qualifier at Fat Ogre Games & Comics too.
  8. We should have local Pundits or players contact those CONs to verify the regional qualifier events and provide the correct information for each to @Steamforged and the community.
  9. Thanks for responding PG @Devilsquid. PG ZeroskillZ here just trying to take care of our community.
  10. @TheLieutenant, @Anti-Venom, @RedSam, @Poetica, @Killermonkey, @ADG, @Trilodean, I had been talking with both TheGameCon and WargamesCon about this issue. Several staff members are part of the facebook group: CenTexWar and this is how I contacted them. Chris Carlile (WargamesCon) confirmed this morning he had received a call from Michael McGougan to reconfirm the event and get details, however; he needs a few things from @Steamforgedto move forward with all of this. "Chris Carlile They are basically going to be handling everything on their own but I told them I want a copy of the event details to post on our website once we have them and people can purchase tickets." This is a copy of my conversation with Chris Carlile at WargamesCon
  11. Thank you @TheLieutenant for clarifying this. Can you also confirm if the staff at WargamesCon are aware of this event? I will reach out to them as well today. Hopefully everyone will be able to get a refund or adjust their travel to fit the correct venue, dates, and times.
  12. @RedSam, @Poetica, @Killermonkey, @Anti-Venom So far I haven't heard from @Steamforged on any of this. If anyone knows how to get someone from @Steamforged to look into this that would be greatly appreciated. Would tagging @Devilsquid, @Mako, @CurlyPaul, @Northy, @Steamforged_Jay or someone similar help? I have heard from TheGameCon and they said they're not doing it. I included their number in a previous post on this thread. As for anyone else that might be hosting this event, I can't say. Someone needs to look into this from the Steamforged side.
  13. @Killermonkey I've sent Steamforged an email about this, but haven't heard anything back. I had the same issue when I started looking into it and that's why I'm trying to get clarity on this before we get too much closer to the date. I'm sure players have already purchased tickets, planned for hotel, plane, etc. with better notice this can help everyone mitigate costs or make adjustments to travel plans. 14. @RedSam, @Poetica, I understand. This is confusing, but you have to understand that TheGameCon is happening in essentially my back yard. Galveston is part of the Greater Houston area Gaming, and there hasn't been any talk in any of the gaming groups about anyone hosting this event. As an active member of Guild Ball Houston on Facebook and having asked our local Pundits, they too do not have any information on this event. **UPDATE** I called TheGameCon today and spoke with a Matt Roche, (713-714-1361) He told me that nothing like a Regional Qualifier for SteamforgedLtd tabletop game GuildBall or anything for Guild ball was on their events listings. He had no idea what I was talking about and he's going to look into it on his end. He doesn't know why Steamforged would put it on their website without confirming with the CON first. He further let me know that their boardgames section is run by Ettin Games and Hobbies (I'm very familiar with this store as its one I game at often), specifically mentioning Joshua F. I tried calling Ettin (832 644-8802), but Josh isn't in the store until Sunday. I sent a facebook email to Ettin Games and ask. @Anti-Venom let me know that, "Josh would not know anything about the RQ though. The past 3 years Ettin has brought their board game library and done demos." Matt Roche with TheGameCon said their was another person running RPG's at their CON, but he didn't have any additional information on that. ** FOLLOW-UP ** We have confirmation that Ettin Games and Hobbies is not running any Guild Ball tournament at TheGameCon. Matt with TheGameCon is checking with the other resource that is hosting tabletop RPG's at the CON to confirm. I have asked Matt Roche to please notify me as soon as he learns of anything.
  15. @Poetica, I agree that the two CONs are not the same thing.. now. If you take a look at the list of events at https://thegamecon.com/events you will not see any event listed for miniatures gaming. I have an email sent to them asking if there is an event being held at their CON, I've tweeted them and I have a phone number to call tomorrow. I don't see where it says anything about May, that may be some small confusion in the mix of things.
