  2. In anticipation of the figs being released in less than six months I thought I would make a proper pitch for Guildball rather than the basic tan felt i have been using. For this project I used: Dark Green Felt at least three by three feet in size, fabric pencil, craftsman ruler (three feet in length) and yellow fabric paint. For the "Icy Sponge" sidelines I used lighter green felt. Here is the finished product: The "Icy Sponge" sidelines: And a closeup of the finished pitch: For step by step instructions, head over to my gaming blog here.
  3. Veteran Siren ready for the pitch. For more go here.
  4. The Duncan Dicebaggames friendly three round tournament was successfully held and fun was had by all. Nine people attended so I subbed in so none would be left without an honored opponent. 1st place went to JD who played the Alchemists (all three games won, 8 total goals and 1 takeout). 2nd place went to Nathan who played the Morticians (2 goals and 10 takeouts, one of which was a mascot). 3rd place went to Allen who played the Engineers (5 goals and two takeouts). Best goal went to Justin for his bleeding pig Butcher’s goal (photo unavailable as I missed taking the picture). Best painted team went to Craig and his Fishermen. Best Sportsman went to Ian who played Brewers which kinda makes sense when you think about it. Things people liked were the terrain and terrain placement being the same for all pitches for each round. Also liked the rules of the terrain written right on the terrain itself. Things to consider for next time are keeping it casual and having some of the unusual style of tournaments (Captain my captain and Dodgeball for instance). For my first miniature tournament the pre-planning helped a lot so that I could participate as a fill in player without interrupting the game too much for answering questions by other coaches. Look forward to the next one. Best Painted team. The prize and certificate winners but everyone who played had a great time. For more pics go here.
  5. Running a tournament for up to 12 people at Dicebaggames in Duncan BC, 13th of May. 10am start, Pre-Season Tournament rules. 3 rounds. Prizes for 1st place, Best Painter, Best Goal, and Best Sportsman. Will post pics Sunday.

  15. This Easter long weekend (Thursday to Sunday), I will be running some demos at NORWESCON 2016, in Seattle at SeaTac Doubletree hotel. Times will be dependant on panels i'm going to. Look for signs i'll post up. Will post pictures once I'm back home.
  16. Exposed eight more people to the game after panels I attended. Pics soon.
  17. Myself and stick ran two demos over two weekends. One at Everything Games and another for LANtasy 2016. We had two playing surfaces and two painted demo teams plus the standees. That way we could show finished and free models and have two demos going at a time. Also had a kids noisemaker to blow whenever someone scored a goal. I'm sure this brought more people over to see what was going on. We approximate 18 people played a demo game and several more asked questions about it. Everything Games has been carrying Guildball for about two months now and interest is growing. Once I get my second team painted, intend to submit to being a pundit IOT have local tournaments and aim to have a large tournament for LANtasy in 2017.

  23. Anyone going to NORWESCON 2015 in Seattle SEATAC airport Doubletree hotel? April 2-5th. http://www.norwescon.org/ If there are, I can bring my Guildball items for a few games. If there are interested persons, I can also bring items for running demos.
  24. Ooops. A note to everyone. Ensure you have all the items you need for a demo before going to the event. I did not.
