Steamforged Games Ltd - Stockport SK5 Steamforged Games Ltd, the creators of the fantasy football game Guild Ball and more recently the #1 board game on Kickstarter, Dark Souls™ - The Board Game - are looking for a Global Events Manager to join our team. The Global Events Manager would plan, co-ordinate and attend in most cases our events and trade shows throughout Europe and the USA. These range from local wargaming shows in the UK to the likes of GenCon in the USA and Spiel in Germany with over 100,000 visitors over 4 days. This is a crucial role within the business with high levels of responsibility. The role will include, but not be limited to the following duties: Researching the industry to identify key shows we need to attend which will be key for business growth. Planning shows within a budget and timeframe set by line manager. Management of Steamforged Games show assets (Show stands and promotional/show materials) Producing detailed proposals for events (e.g. itineraries, staff rotas, meeting schedules for key staff, shipping info and timings for staff/stand etc, staffing and budgets) Sourcing and booking of venues in line with business needs for internal events. Managing and co-ordinating staff working at trade shows and events for Steamforged Gamed Ltd. Co-ordinating staff training to ensure all staff are fully prepared to delivered demo experiences for all of our products, or any other tasks that may be given to them at a show. Developing relationships with key partners and show officials. Liaising with marketing department to promote the event. Post-event evaluation (including data entry and analysis and producing reports for senior team). This position will be a salary paid position with weekend work expected while working at trade shows and events. In the most part it will be a 40-hour week based out of our Manchester office.
